A) The complaint will be filed within 30 days of the incident.
B) The full name of the complainant, name of the father and mother, address, phone, fax and e-mail (if any) and occupation should be mentioned.
C) The complaint must be written in.
D) Complain can be made through electronic media like fax, e-mail, web site etc.
E. Complaints can also be lodged by going directly to the Directorate and by postal or courier.
If the accused is falsified proved, the accused or the company is fined 25 percent of the total amount of the fines paid to the complainant.
Within 7 days of the complaint, the complainant and the accused are informed on the letter, e-mail or phone by the date of the hearing. On the day of the decision, the evidence and the statement of the accused if needed both parties are heard in the case of the accused or the need. The officials concerned decided by verifying the statements of both parties.

(A) Who, without resale and commercial purposes,
(I) purchases a product in order to pay the price or pay a price
(Ii) purchases a product in exchange for partially paid and partly promised prices

(B) who use the purchased goods with the consent of the buyer
(C) who buys the product, uses commercially for self-employment

(A) Offering or selling a product, medicine or service at a price higher than the fixed price under any law or rule;
(B) Selling knowingly or offering adulterated products or medicines;
(C) Selling or offering a commodity mixed with such products, which is severely harmful to human health, which is banned under any law or regulations, which is mixed with any food products;
(D) Deceiving the purchaser of goods by selling false or false advertising for the sale of any goods or services;
(E) Not selling or supplying the promised goods or services in exchange for the price paid;
(F) Selling or supplying a low-weight product to the consumer at the time of supply or sale of any commodity;
(G) Used to measure the weight or supply of any commodity in the business, weighing or weighing machine is expected to be weighing more than the actual weight;
(H) Selling or supplying products that are less than the quantity promised in the sale or supply of any commodity;
(I) Measuring the length in the business for the purpose of selling or supplying any product, using measurement tools that more than the length of the actual length;
(J) Preparing or producing any counterfeit goods or medicines;
(K) Offering to sell or selling expired goods or medicines; Or
(L) Performing any work that may endanger the life or safety of the service provider, this is banned under any law or regulation;
"Services" means transportation, telecommunications, water supply, sewerage, fuel, gas, power, construction, residential hotels and restaurants and healthcare, which are made profitable for users in exchange for price.
If a person violates the obligation of selling a product by a law or rule, and clearly specifies the weight, quantity, material, use-rules, maximum retail sales price, date of production, date of packeting and date of expiry of relevant goods on the package, For one year imprisonment, or fined more than fifty thousand taka, or both will be discharged.
If a person disobeys the obligations imposed by any law or rule, in a shop or institution, in a visible place, he does not display a list of the prices of the goods, he or she will pay a fine of not less than one year, or fined more than fifty thousand taka - or both will be discharged.
If a person proposes to sell or sell a product, medicine or service at a price higher than the fixed price under any law or rule, he or she will be imprisoned for a maximum one year, or fined not more than fifty thousand taka or both.
If a person knowingly sells or offers adulterated commodities or drugs, he or she will be imprisoned for a maximum of three years, or fined not more than two lakh taka or both.
Any person harming the life or health of the person, which is banned under any law or rule, which is harmful to any food product, if a person mixes such food with any food product, he will be punished for imprisonment for a maximum of three years, or fined more than two lakhs of taka, or Both will be punished.
If a person is producing or processing any product that is prohibited under any law or regulations, in any process which is harmful to the life or health of a person, he or she will be paid for imprisonment for a maximum of two years, or mulcted not more than one lac taka, or both will be punished.
If a person deliberately tries to sell the consumer by false or false advertisement for the sale of a product or service, he or she will be imprisoned for a maximum of one year, or mulcted not more than two lakh taka, or both.
If a person does not sell or supply the promised goods or services in exchange for a paid price, he / she will be imprisoned for a maximum of one year, or estreated not more than fifty thousand taka, or both.
If a person sells or supplies that product to a consumer less than the promised weight during the supply or sale of a product, he or she will be imprisoned for a maximum of one year, or entreated not more than fifty thousand taka, or both.
If the weight or weight measurement machine used to measure weight in a person's shop or in business for the purpose of selling or supplying any goods, he should pay a maximum of one year imprisonment, or fined not more than fifty thousand taka, or both.
If a person sells or supplies that goods in lesser measure than the quantity promised to a consumer during the supply or sale of a product, he will be imprisoned for a term not exceeding one year, or fined more than fifty thousand taka, or both.
For the purpose of selling or supplying any goods, a man who is manipulating a measurement ribbon or anything else used to measure length in the store or business establishment, he will be imprisoned for a maximum of one year, or mulcted not more than fifty thousand taka, or both.
If a person prepares or produces a fake copy of a product, he will be imprisoned for a maximum of three years, or a fine of two lakh taka, or both.
If a person proposes to sell or sell a term expired, he or she will be imprisoned for a term not exceeding one year, or fined not more than fifty thousand taka, or both.
If a person, who does any work that may endanger the life or security of the service recipient by disobeying the restrictions set out under any law or rule, will be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years, or entreated more than two lakh taka, or both.
If any service provider, by means of negligence, irresponsibility or unwelcome service, will be liable for imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years, or fined not more than two lakh taka, or both.
If a person, a businessman or service provider is accused of harassing or making public or making a false or harassment case for his business loss, that person shall be punished with imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years, or fined not more than fifty thousand taka, or both.
For the offense mentioned in this Act, if the person who committed the same crime again, he would be given double of the maximum of the crime.

No person shall be admissible in the 30 (thirty) days after the birth of the cause, without any complaint to the Director General or any other authority empowered by the Directorate, regarding the anti-consumer rights act under this Act.
